What People Are Saying
You can instantly feel the high vibe the moment you walk into this place. Wow. It has a very open and inviting feel the moment you step in. It was my first time attending a Mantra & Kundalini class and I’m so glad I did at the C Yoga studio with instructor Teresa. The class was beautiful and filled with gentle poses and uplifting mantras – all designed to energize and lift the spirit. Gotta say – it delivered! I left the session relaxed and happy. That said, it is also a place to let go. I found it to be a very safe place, whether a pro or an amateur. If you have ever thought about going to a Kundalini yoga class, expanding your practice, or looking for a reputable yoga studio in the area, I highly recommend this place… and I hand’s down recommend Teresa’s classes.

This studio and the instructors are great. Whatever level you are looking for they teach it. I was looking for a studio with small classes, not a body count, C Yoga is the place. Colin, the owner and instructor takes each students ability to learn very serious… a great teacher.
Despite visiting La Jolla for a short time, the studio instantly became a peaceful oasis in the most convenient location of San Diego. The couple of teachers/guides I experienced were amazing and held in high esteem by their regulars. Definitely one of the best studios I have been to in terms of quality teachers.
Peaceful, clean studio with experienced, patient and knowledgeable teachers. I’ve enjoyed every class I’ve taken at C Yoga.

C Yoga is a gem in the UC neighborhood! Great new yoga studio for all levels. I last practiced yoga years ago off and on so finding C Yoga was fitting for me as I felt somewhat of a new beginner. The vinyasa classes that I attended were led by Colin. He is enthusiastic, lighthearted and a very knowledgeable yoga teacher. Small classes, great music, instructor offers great cues allowing you to practice at your own pace, providing modifications if you need them. Very happy I found this studio.

Yoga entered my life in middle age as a solution to the many aches and pains of a lifelong active lifestyle including competitive sports at the Masters level. Not only did I discover the amazing benefits of a regular and rigorous practice, but I also discovered that there were whole parts of myself that had been deeply buried during years of working, multi-tasking and child-rearing. Yoga teacher training and regular practice has helped me to show up as a more authentic, accepting, imperfect, patient and loving version of myself. What’s better than that?

Minimalist and plant eater, Kelli is a native San Diegan with a fierce love of nature and sustainability. Kelli found her love of yoga through Ashtanga, practicing in the early hours before work and school. After graduating with Bachelor’s in Communication, she downsized her life, sold all her belongings, and hit the road. Traveling in a trailer with a consistent yoga practice seemed daunting to her and her husband, but instead proved to be life-changing therapy. Kelli heard the call to be a yoga teacher shortly after returning home to San Diego, and completed her RYT-200 certification in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga in 2017.
Nicole’s yoga journey began in 2007 when her mom took her to her very first class. Slowly yoga began to show up more and more in her life. By 2011, a regular yoga practice developed after becoming a mommy for the very first time! She learned that self-care was essential to living a fulfilling life AND for caring for others! After receiving a bachelors degree in neuroscience 2016, Nicole decided to expand her knowledge of people and become a yoga instructor so she could help students to discover the same benefits she had, and more, by combing both a science perspective and a spiritual healing practice! In 2018, she was trained in restorative yoga and now teaches everything from powerful vinyasa flows to gentle restorative yoga. Her passion is anything that supports her students in feeling like their best selves!

Her focus lies in creating a kind space for students to work their bodies and relax their minds, with an emphasis on proper alignment, personalized instruction, self-compassion, and mindfulness. Practicing yoga as a way of enduring life
When I stopped practicing for a little, my body and soul’s experiences from more than 300 hours got integrated in my body. Taking a break is also important to let the body receive the messages delivered during what I call “exploration time”. There are moments, to dig in, to observe the karma, to be not only aware but to provoke an inner big bang. And there are times to integrate to let our system re organize those particles into our existence. Into our dharma. How do you know when? The Yoga will tell you. You will listen.
So, stop practicing to keep practicing. Let your body practice life off the mat. Come down to earth come down to your feet, to your first chakra and allow the heart, the bridge of connection, to use all the magic and powers this practice, this technology, has to offer through awareness and letting it happen.
Sleep and sweat are two things we must do in order to let the psyche integrate the Yoga deliveries. This is also discipline. There is nothing to endure, there is a lot to release and let go so we can create space for new big bangs.
Our thanks to every environment where man is supposed to grow in peace and harmony, in love and in tranquility.
Our thanks to all that is graceful around us and our thanks to all that forces us to become graceful.
Our thanks to that negativity which has made us positive. Our thanks to that power to overtake us, which has given the power to love to sustain our self.
Our thanks to all those natural calamities which have given us the joy and beauty that we have crossed them.
Our thanks to all those sicknesses and weaknesses and laziness which has given the power to triumph over it and survive to chant the holy Naam.
Our thanks to all those enemies who made us strong, that we love to live, and our thanks to the Almighty Creator, who has created us to go through all this experience in the name of that Holy Name which prevails through everybody
That cosmic power which is the instrument of our life and our dignity, that Adi Shakti of which we all are part in one brotherhood as pure beings, to that height and consciousness which holds this world.
We pray in Thy Consciousness, oh consciousness of all consciousness, to be with us and bring love, tranquility, and peace to every heart.

A more vigorous practice linking breath to movement. Classes usually incorporate music. Derived from Ashtanga – this practice builds, strength, stamina and balance. Our teachers ensure that postures are accessible to everybody and offer more advanced modifications if the student wishes to engage further. Our International Master Teacher and founder, Colin Wolpert ‘s signature classes are Vinyasa based. A fun time to be had by all.
Kundalini Yoga is a technology brought to the west by Yogi Bhajan. This technology can change the way you experience life. It has the potential to connect your mind, body and spirit with the universal consciousness. It is known to strengthen your nervous system and calm your nerves. This technology was designed to be shared with special, powerful people to remind themselves of who they are.
Yin classes are relaxing and have little active movement. Instead are a series of poses held for 3-5minutes. Poses are passive, targeting the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine and sometimes shoulders. Yin yoga is said to address connective tissue and fascia.
The art of being ok with your mind continuing to do what it does, while you respectfully observe it and derive comfort in the stillness of watching. There are a multitude of modalities from open to closed eye practices and a plethora of techniques to explore.
Iyengar Yoga is a specific form of hatha yoga with an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment. The development of strength, mobility and stability is gained by practicing asana (poses). These classes are wonderful to gain specific insight to poses and to learn the basics as well as master the not so basic.
All physical yoga is hatha yoga. In the west, we often refer to hatha classes as less vigorous physical practices. Hatha yoga consists of poses that are accessible by everybody with simple transitions and attention to being present.
Ashtanga yoga is the father of modern day vinyasa yoga, also linking breath to movement. It follows a specific sequence of postures and is divided into series.
Kids yoga is one of our passions. We believe that introducing kids to the technology of yoga as soon in their lives as possible is how we will change the world. Our students range from 2 month old babies to 12 year olds. Classes are age appropriate and delineated so as to derive the most benefit for the age group.
Sculpt is a combination of cardio movement and yoga poses to tone and strengthen the body. It is less meditative and more aerobic, giving the practitioner all the benefits of a raised heart rate whilst enjoying yoga poses.
