If you want better agility you can simply start running everyday. If you just want to become physically stronger you can lift weights at the gym everyday. If your only goal is flexibility you can do stretches for a few hours each day. And there’s nothing wrong with any of those•But we come to yoga for the full transformational experience of uniting our mind, body and spirit so that we may feel them as one. We do our studio and/or home practice so that we can build strength, balance, and flexibility simultaneously; increasing our body awareness in turn. We come to open our hearts and minds in meditation.
